I had the pleasure of meeting Zyra at the San Carlos location. She was kind and very helpful to me. She explained things about the units and showed me what the different units looked like so l couldnt make a solid, informed decision. She helped me with navigating on line. She never got tired of me calling back to ask questions about how to navigate. Zyra made my experience an awesome one. I felt comfortable and well informed. Because of her excellent customer service l will definitely recommend Bay Area self storage to friends.
Melanie, is so wonderful. I stay at this facility because of her. I have been here for 20+ years. She has been the best person during this time. Always helpful, friendly and a joy to work with. I have 5 units. I have changed to different units many times. Melanie has made it easy.

The building is not climate controlled but they do have several large platform carts with wheels that make it easy to move stuff in and out from your car all in one trip. The units on the top floor, 3rd floor, have a large vertical size making it a better deal. It's not usually busy so it's easy to park in a loading spot and get a cart to move stuff around. The staff are friendly and helpful.
It's a storage facility, I keep stuff there I don't want in the house, but I'm not ready to get rid of. It's dry and safe. The staff are friendly and efficient.

I came in wanting a storage unit and saw the web price was lower than in-person. Asked multiple times that I wanted the web rate and if I should be booking online to get it. Melanie told me it was not necessary and prepared the papers. When the in-person price was still in the contract, I was told if I signed, they would file a ticket in the system to get an exception for the better price.
I have followed up multiple times these past several weeks and was told they are ‘awaiting response’. I’m stuck with the in-person price now.
Upon making reservations online I quickly received a phone call from there. I informed them I was on a time crunch. Melanie killed it. Got there the paperwork was ready. She was so courteous and efficient. I was in and out on no time. They have good prices and a well kept facility, from what I saw. I highly recommend this place.
