Was working in the yard trimming tree branches and had some debris fall in my eye. I was in so much pain with blurred vision and a severe migraine. Thankfully Dr Ludlow fit me in his busy schedule. After thoroughly examining my eyes and removing what was irritating my eye, I felt almost instant relief. I know this sounds like a small dilemma but for me it felt life changing to finally get relief and my sight back. I trust these Specialists at WV Consultants wholeheartedly and am thankful that their office is located near me in Beckley.

First appointment for post Sx opinion. Loads of patients and loads of staff. Pleasant reception room. People are greeted and acknowledged upon entry, even if the front desk personnel are engaged with a client at the moment. Typical quantity of paperwork. There is a sign in reception that says to alert staff if you're not seen after 15 minutes of appointed time. So I did, at 20 minutes overdue. Was taken to exam ten minutes later. So in my book, too long after the appointed time. Some of us DO need more time and at the experience level of this practice, that should be taken into consideration. Staff treated me very nicely, seemed competent, listened carefully, and read back notes to ensure my points were correctly understood. Dr. L was pleasant, immediately focused on my issue and concerns, he listened to me, and upon examination, did a good job explaining and summing up what his findings were. All very good! All very professional while maintaining a pleasant "bedside manner." I didn't know my eyes would be dilated. I drove myself. Sat in my car for an hour, bringing total time to three hours. Live and learn!
