My 80/20 30yr Fixed Primary Residence Loan closed this week on the original Target Closing date. Tom's office is always open for delivering documents to a receptionist. The office is "easy-in & out" right off Marietta Square. I never saw Tom face to face. My situation was complicated but I handled it completely over the phone. I dropped some documents off at the office, which is nice and convenient. Tom gave advice and answered all my questions. My only complaint was about "my experience" with the signing software and the initial application software. I told Tom about it. Frankly, I just signed all the stuff they sent me to sign by several different signing apps. It worked but I do a lot of Real Estate deals and see lots of signing apps. Currently, my experience with Motto's software was the worst BUT it did work every time. If I wasn't an engineer and familiar with iPads, iPhones, and desktops all trying to communicate with signing apps, I would have been more concerned. At that point, you're stuck in the deal and just need to sign and hope it's working. It always worked but I had to ask if it did. The very first indication of "lacking software apps" was the initial application. There is no help icons, no little info helps. I failed and got stuck. I gave up on it having barely started. I sent Tom all my documents via email and he filled it out for me and never said a word about it. After that initial application, Tom is what you want. He gives great advise and answers all questions. But ... I never saw him in person and I never asked to see him in person. I got everything I wanted over the phone. Great experience through all that important middle phase, which is the most important part. Then, at the end, it's time to sign and get Closing Docs to review and that part is lacking due to the signing apps they use. Also, to be fair, this is my experience. I'm sure Motto would say different but that is the point of these reviews. Tom himself outweighs the apps.

So ...

My bottom line is: Tom himself is the best. He gets your Deal done. Don't go to a Bank. Go to Tom, a Mortgage Broker. The office is convenient. All the apps you will use are lacking IMHO.

Big online brokers may have fabulous software to start and end with but Tom is the man to get your loan done. That is what you are after, assuming you are focused on what, I think, is most important.
