My home buying experience began over a year ago with a challenging situation. I was at a job for less than two years and made the majority of my money off of bonus. This poses a significant challenge in obtaining a mortgage. I had at least two other loan officers give up without even trying before meeting Scott. Awssome experience with Scott Defrees. He was there for any and all questions at all times and provided a much better rate than anywhere else was offering. I very highly recommend him to anyone looking for a mortgage. We recently purchased our brand new home in Randallstown, MD. We worked with Scott DeFrees and he's absolutely amazing! He answered every little inquiry that we had and we had alot of questions. They contacted me immediately after I submitted an information request (unlike other lenders) and were always quick to respond to any questions or concerns I might have. They kept me apprised of the whole process at all times. They were careful not to over-promise and under-deliver. In fact, Scott's estimates were conservative and in the end he was able to secure me a lower rate than originally anticipated at an extremely low cost in comparison to other lenders. Scott DeFrees and Shannon Gregory at Keystone were simply wonderful to work with & answered all my questions. I did not have a lot of equity in my home so I was paying PMI. Not only did I get great service, Scott was able to structure my refinance request so I could avoid paying PMI by contacting two lenders with one taking a first for the 80% loan to value and a second lender for the remainder. This was a creative approach I didn't know was available and I was extremely happy with the final results. From start of application on Zillow to closing was less than 30 days......awesome.
